It's that time of year.
One of the reasons I always look forward to September is that I get to start visiting schools again. The kids are always a blast. One question I am frequently asked is what is my favorite book. My favorite book is Tarzan Of The Apes by Edgar Rice Burroughs. My favorite My Weird School book is Miss Blake Is A Flake! by Dan Gutman. Why? Because I get to draw ferocious bears, campfires, natural disasters, and a power-crazed Beaver Scout master!

North Inlet Trail
I recently added a page to my hiking sketchbook. This was a hike I took with our son and daughter last July. The North Inlet Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park. All uphill to our camping spot - about 7 miles from the trailhead. Lots of moose, deer and other animals.
Dorks in New York!

This funny little book came out this week. A.J. and the gang have been invited to be a part of the studio audience for Funderama - a wacky morning kids TV show. Will things get out of hand? Yes. Will cooler heads prevail. Not likely.

I just completed another graphic novel so I have been able to take a little time off and enjoy the world around me. In that spirit, my wife and I got out and enjoyed a string quartet concert this weekend. They played mostly Queen hits so the music was lively enough to cover up the crunchy Funyuns I snuck in with me.
